Rukaby for slow-growing herbs
Herbs such as dill, parsley, chives or coriander often develop slowly after sowing. This is exactly where the Rukaby shows its strengths.
Because the patented tools do not push soil aside, it can start hoeing very close to the row at an early stage – precisely, gently and without putting unnecessary strain on the young plants.
Self-cleaning tools under high weed pressure
The hydraulically driven tools of the Rukaby clean themselves very effectively through rotation. This is particularly beneficial under high weed pressure or after herbs have been cut, when large amounts of organic material remain on the soil surface.
In addition to effective weed control, the Rukaby incorporates the organic material into the soil. There, it can decompose more quickly, helping to reduce disease pressure within the crop.
Adaptation to different soil types
The Rukaby can be adjusted to different soil conditions – from light soils to heavy loamy or clay soils. This keeps the hoeing process clean and controlled, even with crusted or compacted soil or sensitive crops.
Light soils
Weeds are pulled out cleanly and dry out on the surface. Compared with conventional blade hoeing, the risk of weeds taking root again can be reduced.
Loamy sand
With a light soil crust, the serrated disc is often sufficient to break the crust and create a defined breaking line along the row.
Heavy loamy or clay soils
Under dry conditions, cutting discs are used. Under wet conditions, an interchangeable shaft without cutting discs can be used to prevent clogging.
Sensitive crops
Protective tunnels provide additional protection against soil throw and support gentle cultivation close to the row.
