__ Feldklasse Weeding technology for sugar beet

Efficiency and reliable detection thanks to AI hacking technology

The ZURAMA AI camera can reliably detect every single sugar beet. Even when the sugar beet is barely distinguishable from the surrounding weeds due to heavy growth, it can still be detected. This precise detection is possible from the cotyledon stage onwards.

Thanks to their rotating movement, the selective knives significantly reduce soil throw. This allows speeds of 3.5 km/h (2 mph) to be driven at until the sugar beet reaches the fourth leaf stage, and then even 5 km/h (3 mph).

The ZURAMA allows you to work with great precision around each plant. The hydraulically controlled selective blades offer extreme power and dynamism. This enables Feldklasse to offer you the fastest actuator on the market. Since September 2025, working speeds of up to 5 km/h (3 mph) have been possible from the fourth leaf onwards without any loss of quality.

Application in plant protection

First weeding pass: Once all the beetroot has emerged and most of the plants have one leaf.

• Further weeding passes are carried out regularly, depending on the level of weed growth. Between the rows, the angle coulters are converted to duckfoot coulters.

• Shortly before row closure, the selective modules can be folded up. Now, only one pass between the rows with goosefoot shares is necessary. This is done using the inter-row modules while the AI camera system‘s automatic row guidance remains active.
